March 27 at 8:02 PM · Today is a sad day for the Postcard and Paper Community as a whole. The afternoon of Tuesday ,March 25th Jim Taylor passed away. Back in late 2018, when I first found out about the postcard and photo community, I reached out to Jim because he ran a postcard show in Tulsa. That conversation and the ensuing show I attended were some of the first steps that sent my life in a very unique and unexpected direction as a full time postcard and photo dealer. Jim mentored me in the business, teaching this young whippersnapper what makes a great postcard. He taught me principles of business and how to run shows and booths. But more than that, we had hours of life conversations, normally across the table from each other, with a box of postcards between us. Him sharing stories of his Pizza Hut days, me sharing about our adventures in Blackwell. Even though there was a 50 year age gap between us, I truly considered this man a real friend. We didn’t see each other as often as I would have liked, but I looked forward to our times together. There will forever be a hole in the postcard community, Jim will be missed by many.Much love brother!https://www.clarkfuneralhomes.com/obituary/james-taylor
